Santo Domingo heirloom necklace.

Five strand 22" long coral and sterling silver bead necklace capped by 2 sterling silver cones and a lobster claw clasp. The inlay shell pendant measures approximately 4.75 inches long by 4.75 inches wide. The large shell and bail are both inlayed with turquoise, orange and red spiny oyster and what looks to be mother of pearl in the pattern of a bear. The inlay pieces are bordered by thin strips of sterling silver. The bail is stamped "Sterling" and 2 crossed arrows. On the back of the shell in the silver holding the bail to the shell is marked "Sterling" and "C.W.". The piece weighs 584 grams total.
